Hi there. My name is Niels and I’m a 2D and 3D Motion Designer from Holland. On this channel I will share tips and tricks you can use to your GoPro videos.
In this tutorial I show you how the GoPro MAX Exporter works. Before you can start working with the footage you have to convert the .360 files from your camera to a .mov videofile. In this video I show you how.
This is the MAX Exporter interface. We can divide this window in 4 steps.
Step 1 is where you import the .360 files from you GoPro MAX.
Step 2 is where we will tell the software to what file format it should export our footage.
Step 3 is about the orientation of our footage. Later I show you what I mean with some examples.
And step 4 is where we tell the MAX Exporter to what directory I should export our video files.
In the first video you see what happens when we render our .360 file without “world lock” selected. Our virtual camera stays fixed on the car like a GoPro Hero would. We only see the background changing.
The second video shows us what happens when we rendered our .360 file with “world lock” switched on. Our virtual camera will face the same direction, from the moment you press record, for the rest of the video. Like a compass. If you want to add a camera movement to a shot like this, you have to use the FX Reframe plugin in After Effects or Premiere.
