Winter weather that hit North Carolina yesterday led to a pile-up involving 53 vehicles on I-40. One person was killed in the wreckage when a semi-truck slammed into the stopped traffic. The driver of that truck was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and speeding. Six people were taken to the hospital following the pile-up.
