JBL Live wireless headphones offer great sound and functionality at a good price point. The wireless headphones offer Alexa and Google Assistant integration, long battery life, and noise cancelling, among other features. To ensure that you’re JBL Live wireless headphones are running their best, it’s a good idea to check to make sure you have the latest software update installed.
Now let’s walk through the steps to update the software on your JBL Live wireless headphones.
Step 1. Install the JBL Headphones app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device if you haven’t already, and then go through the process to set up the app.
Step 2. Launch the JBL Headphones app. A list of your JBL headphones appears on the screen. Tap to select your JBL Live wireless headphones you want to see if a firmware update is available for. The screen with information and controls for your JBL Live wireless headphones appears. If a firmware update is available for your headphones, you’ll see an orange circle with a down-pointing arrow inside of it in the upper right corner of the image of your wireless headphones.
Step 3. Tap the orange circle with the image of the down-pointing arrow. A Product Software Update screen appears. Tap the “Install” button on this screen. The Firmware Is Updating screen appears, asking you to not close the application and to keep the headset near your iPhone, iPad or Android device. Additionally, the status of the firmware update install is displayed in the circle that appears in place of the Install button.
Step 4. A Restarting message appears in place of the status of the upgrade. When the upgrade is complete you’ll be routed back to the screen displaying information associated with your JBL Live wireless headphones. If there is no orange circle with a down-pointing arrow displayed in the upper right corner of your product image, your JBL Live wireless headphones firmware is up to date.
