Let’s face it: stopping your car when you want to is one of the most important parts when it comes to driving. Making sure your brake fluid levels are filled to the required level is important to have properly working brakes.

Step 1: Locate your hood release. Check your owner’s manual if you have trouble finding the latch.

Step 2: Make sure the engine has cooled down before touching anything on the engine. Locate the brake fluid reservoir in the right rear of the engine bay. The level of your brake fluid will be illustrated on the outside of the brake fluid reservoir. The level should be at the maximum level.

Low brake fluid may indicate that the brake line is at the end of its life. We’d recommend a full brake inspection at one of our participating locations.
